It was a snowy and exciting ceremonial start, as the huge crowd cheered on all the mushers.

Just hours before the night time ceremonial start the mushers gathered for the annual group photo.
Chilly morning for the mandatory veterinary checks prior to the start of the 30th annual Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race.
Hello Pedigree Stage Stop Fans, here a few shots from this mornings Vet Check. Temperatures were about minus 5F at the beginning, but since have nicely warmed up to 16 F above. A team of veterinarians lead by head Vet Dr. Veronica Devall and a group of Vet students is giving each dog a thorough check.
