What an exciting day on the trail! Today we saw a few places change and a new daily winner: Anny Malo from Quebec. Yesterday’s stage winner Erick Laforce came in second and defending Pedigree Stage Stop Race champ Lina Streeper took third.
It’s still anyone’s race as each day is different.
All the mushers agreed that the freshly groomed trails at Upper Green River Lakes outside Pinedale, WY were fantastic. The day’s temperatures were almost perfect for running dogs and the speeds proved so. The usual breeze at this stage started the morning off with a chill but fortunately stopped, making it a bluebird day.
Watch the total field as the posted times become available. If they are not on the home page, please check the results under that day’s stage town. And be sure to follow our Facebook and YouTube pages for updates as soon as we can get them to you.
So come on out to our next stage at Kemmerer and watch the mastery unfold. Monday is day three of the “World Series” of sled-dog sports, and on this day or the next is where I believe the race will make another change-up. But it’s still anyone’s guess – even I’m hesitant to wager just yet.
