Good morning Pedigree Stage Stop Race fans,
after yesterdays Stage 2 in Pinedale being canceled due to high winds and poor trail conditions, we are now facing the next extreme here in Big Piney/Marbleton. It has been raining off and on for pretty much the last 18hrs. Temperatures are about 37F and supposed to climb quite a bit, all the way to 50F later in the afternoon. With a 9 a.m. teams should be well of the trail before then, but there is no denying, that these are less than ideal conditions.
Mushers have been busy feeding their dogs here in the parking lot already and the truck caravan will not head up to the trailhead up the Middle Piney Road. Let’s hope for better conditions closer to the mountains.
